Rachel Mochizuki, AMFT
I’m so honored you’re here.
Hi There, I’m Rachel
I prioritize creating relational safety with you where active listening, collaboration, and a touch of humor foster deeper connection. While supporting clients with compassion, I highlight key insights or patterns to encourage growth and integrate body-based practices like breathwork and mindfulness to support healing for the mind, body, and soul.
My therapeutic work is grounded in systemic social justice, feminism, and collective liberation, recognizing how our relationships and social systems impact our well-being. As a woman of color, I focus on making therapy more inclusive and empowering by using collaborative, client-led methods.
I draw from Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) to gently support clients in working with trauma-related parts while cultivating internal and relational safety. My approach is also informed by psychodynamic therapy, which explores how early experiences and unconscious patterns shape present-day thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Somatic Experiencing guides my attunement to the body’s responses to stress and trauma, creating space to safely release stored survival energy and restore a sense of regulation. With couples, I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to strengthen emotional connection and repair attachment wounds through secure, responsive communication.
Through this integrative approach, clients begin to connect the dots between past and present, develop greater emotional awareness, and cultivate tools for lasting self-understanding and healing.
With me, you will be accepted as you are and all aspects of your identity will be honored in our work together. I would love the opportunity to support you on your journey—feel free to schedule your free consultation today!
Warmly,
Rachel Mochizuki (she/her)
