Jessie Withers, AMFT & APCC
You’re not too much, you’re not broken, you’re burned out.
Hey, i’m jessie
I work with people who have always had to be “the strong one,” the high achievers, overthinkers, and those who learned early on how to survive by holding it all together. Were you the emotional caretaker in your family? Did you learn to people-please, overachieve, and hide your needs? Me too.
Clients often show up with anxiety, burnout, or a sense of disconnection that doesn’t quite match how “together” their life may look on the outside. If you grew up with a childhood marked by emotional neglect, people-pleasing, or parentification, and you’re ready to experience something real, something different, not just more coping skills or platitudes, you’re in the right place.
I specialize in EMDR, Parts Work (IFS-informed), and somatic integration.
What is EMDR Therapy?
It’s kind of like spring cleaning, but for the painful memories your body still holds onto, all done in a gentle, non-traumatizing way.
Not sure what Parts Work/IFS is?
Imagine making space for all the different parts of yourself: the goal-setter, the griever, the scared child, the critic, the organizer, and so on. IFS therapy is like finally sitting down with these parts of ourselves and helping them feel seen and understood. No more self-sabotaging or being your own worst enemy.
Haven’t heard of Somatic Integration before?
Have you ever noticed the tightness in your chest or that never-ending dread in the pit of your stomach? I’ll help you understand and integrate what your body is trying to communicate through these body sensations (no candles or yoga mat required, lol).
If these approaches resonate with you, please know that you are not alone. Clients often tell me how much they look forward to our sessions and how deeply helpful they find this work.
As a therapist, I am warm, relational, kind, and honest. This isn’t just going to be about you talking for 50 minutes, but about us working together in true collaboration. I believe healing doesn’t have to feel clinical, and I’m here to support all the real and messy parts of you: the grief, the stuckness, the anger, the loud inner critic, the shame, and all those in-between feelings when words just aren’t even enough.
My commitment to you is to show up fully for every session. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the corporate world, which helps me understand the pace and pressure many of my clients face. I also grew up in a multicultural, blended family outside the United States, and I bring to session a deep respect for diverse cultural identities, backgrounds, and perspectives. I am an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, gender-affirming, and committed to the belief that Black lives matter and that no human being is illegal.
I also have firsthand experience caregiving through terminal illness and facing profound loss, and death. You don’t need to explain to me why it’s hard, I get it, because I’m part of the bereaved community too (feel free to ask me about my dad anytime). I bring care, curiosity, and a bit of lightness to every session, along with my whole self.
You deserve that.
I’m so glad you’re here.
